We have been receiving information from an ever-widening range of local businesses which can now be found on AudlemOnline – click on 'Information' on the top horizontal bar and then 'Local Businesses' on the left hand vertical list. Recent additions have included computer services, graphic design and secretarial businesses. Within the next few weeks, we look forward to adding the Canal Shop to the list when it re-opens.
There are now over 80 businesses listed including both the obvious ones – the shops, pubs and other well-known businesses – but also a host of less prominent businesses. So, if you are looking for garden services, a personal trainer, building work, a taxi, to have your horse's blanket cleaned, or even buy a share in a race horse, all the information is on Audlem Online. And much more besides.
Providing information on local businesses, clubs, societies and services was the primary aim of setting up AudlemOnline eighteen months ago. When we started, we never dreamt we'd also be able find local news every day. So have a look through the 'Information' section – you'll be astonished by the variety of businesses to be found in Audlem and the surrounding area. And every time you 'buy local', it's helping a business which is a part of your local community.
When the Webteam met last week we discussed ways of simplifying access to all this information. The 'Search' facility should always help, but we recognise we need to make finding the right information even simpler. We'll be looking at just that over the coming months.
