"This is what happens if you don't pay your pole tax," says local resident Nigel Epps, as his photo shows that the light's gone down at Little Heath.

Given all the recent controversy at Little Heath, we hope it's nothing to do with the planned development there and the ground works that have attracted some attention on the Chatbox in recent days.

We should add at this point that it was decided at Monday's Audlem Parish Council meeting that the the new development, which received planning permission last month, should in future be referred to as the 'Little Heath development' rather than 'Gladman development'.

The reason – Gladman will, of course, be off to pastures new as soon as they have off-loaded the site to a builder or other developer. Their expertise, after all, is forcing planners to give planning permission to build – but selling on to others do the building.
