This is possibly the only racist article ever to appear on AudlemOnline, written (for obvious reasons) by the one Editor who is not a Jones.
With only a few days to go, an analysis of the names of the people who have sponsored the new Annexe by purchasing a plaque to be mounted on the Sponsors' Wall makes interesting reading.
After discounting clubs, societies and businesses, there are 211 "personal" plaques in total so far.
Of these, no less than nine are from Joneses of one sort or another, way ahead of any other surname. The next (apart from a sprinkling of very local names like Bennion. Bourne and Huntbach) are four Davieses.
What demographic conclusions can we draw from this analysis? – either
If you are not a Jones and you want to do something to correct this imbalance, you have until August 31st to purchase your plaque.
