It's a Wirral weekend at the Gorse Croft

There are two matches this weekend at the Gorse Croft, both featuring matches against Wirral CC.

Today the 2nd XI face third-place Wirral 2nd XI in a tough Division 4 fixture.

Tomorrow the 1st XI play their Knockout Cup quarter-final match against Wirral 1st XI. The format of the match is 40 overs per side, with a result guaranteed on the day,

Wirral, who were relegated from the Meller Braggins League last season, are riding high in third place in Division 1.

So far in the competition Audlem have beaten Division 1 team Hartford by 63 runs in the first round and fellow Division 2 side Kerridge by 10 wickets in the second.

Both matches start at 2 pm, so if you want to see some entertaining cricket on what is scheduled to be a sunny weekend, take a trip to the picturesque Gorse Croft.
