Is there anyone who wants an elected mayor?

Audlem Online's April Vote Poll is underway, asking 'Should Crewe & Nantwich have an elected mayor?' This serious question has nothing to do with yesterday's Audlem Online 1st April story about Audlem having its own election for a very local mayor – which may have been a bit more fun! Whether the local Borough is to have an elected mayor will be the subject of an official referendum in a month's time on Local Election day on 4th May.

So far, and it is after just one day's voting, it looks like being one-way traffic. Every vote cast so far has been against the idea. But surely someone, somewhere, is in favour! Whatever your view, cast your vote now on a subject that, according to the local newspapers, could double or halve your Council Tax bill, depending on who or anyone you believe on this contentious subject.
