Inclusion Order for Footpath

Audlem Parish Council has received news about the footpath from Cheshire Street to the canal towpath near The Shroppie Fly. The Modification Order for the inclusion of the footpath on the Definitive Map of public rights of way has been made.

Inclusion on the Definitive Map is conclusive evidence that the footpath exists in law. The order (and the map) can be viewed on the Cheshire East Website using this link

Representations to Cheshire East regarding this order must be lodged by 7th September.

If unopposed the order can then be confirmed and the Ordnance Survey will be notified so that the footpath is included in future maps. If opposition is lodged, the order will be determined by the Secretary of State.
