How do you provide a memorial bench?

AudlemOnline has received the following email: 'Very sadly, my Father recently passed away. He absolutely loved the canal- particularly at Audlem/Cox Bank and we would love to be able to have a memorial bench by the canal for him- we know he would have liked this very much.

"We kept a family Canal boat for many years in the Nantwich area, and have enjoyed many days walking / holidaying on the canal.

"If anybody is able to offer any advice about this, or if you know who we should contact to make this possible, it would be so helpful."

AudlemOnline adds: We assume that the Canal & River Trust's office in Northwich is a key contact but does anyone know more. Are there any restrictions on the provision of memorial benches?
