Gladman Developments Limited, the Congleton company who are proposing a development of up to 120 homes on land off Audlem Road at Little Heath, have been distributing an initial leaflet to over 970 households in Audlem.

Unfortunately, the leaflet includes a map showing an entirely different location, King's Stanley. A little research reveals it to be a village in Gloucestershire, southwest of the town of Stroud.

Gladman's website says: "The leaflet which has been distributed shows an incorrect location plan due to a printing error. We apologise for this error and an updated leaflet will be distributed shortly."

Whether the new leaflet will change the date for initial comments from Tuesday 2nd April is not known but the short time given over an Easter weekend has attracted comments on the Chatbox.

The two maps shown here are the correct ones. You can click on either map to enlarge it.

Gladman say the next stage will involve the preparation of more detailed proposals, including an indicative master plan. These will be displayed at the Public Exhibition being held at Audlem Public Hall on 9th April between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

They add: "Once an application has been submitted, you will of course be able to make formal representations to Cheshire East Council, who will take these into account before making their decision.

"You can keep up to date on progress using the dedicated website by clicking here which provides further information and includes an online feedback form for making comments."
