David Rutley MP raised the concerns of Macclesfield residents about the Local Plan and the supply of future housing in our local communities during a debate on planning and housing supply.
David Rutley also asked the Minister to send planning experts to Cheshire to give advice to Cheshire East Council to ensure that the Local Plan can be completed as speedily as possible to help stop unwanted speculative housing developments, which are a growing concern in many communities in the area.
In his reply, the Minister said that he would send relevant experts from his Department, which could include the former Chief Planning Inspector, to Cheshire to assist with this important task.
