As the Nantwich Chronicle was photographing Audlem residents demonstrating their concern over the controversial Canalside development planned by Muller, heavy goods traffic co-incidentally blocked Audlem village centre.

The camera snapped the all too common scene plus the recently demolished lamp post in Stafford Street, smashed down as two large vehicles tried to pass each other two weeks ago. The newspaper also learnt that two local residents have received glancing blows from passing traffic. The campaign to reduce the number of HGV's through the village will continue.
