Sat in the sun at Land's End in gale force southwesterlies, wishing I'd done a bit more training, but it's a bit late for that now, we set off in an hour.
Horrible weather all day yesterday on the drive down, until we got to the campsite at nine in the evening, when the wind dropped and the sun came out to give us a fabulous Atlantic sunset.
Forecast looks distinctly mixed for the next few days, especially for our traverse of Dartmoor on Sunday, but at least we're on our way!
There are Twitter and Facebook feeds from our fundraising page, and we now have both my son Ben and daughter Beki as the support team – they'll be updating the pages as we go.
Back in Audlem for Wednesday night we hope, as we head north.
