Heavy rains failed to dampen spirits at this year's Hankelow Fete which raised £500 for good causes.
It must have been the wettest day of the year, but the show went on, the band played and the children danced round the Maypole.
Hankelow Amenities Group would like to thank everyone who attended the village fete on Sunday, 12th June. The weather was certainly not what they ordered, however many people braved the elements and bought cake and tea, plants, books and crafts.
Many enjoyed the football game, hook-the-duck and the coconut shy while many charity stalls were well supported. Despite the weather, Hankelow Amenities Group can report that cheques for £250 each will be presented to The Christie Hospital Manchester and to Stapeley Wildlife Centre.
Thanks again to all those who contributed in any way on Sunday.
