In spite of promises that the new Hankelow speed limit would be formally introduced on Monday, the signs are still shrouded in masking tape.

Except that they are partially visible, so that the speed limit entering Hankelow from the Nantwich side is now down to 3mph which means that any half-fit pedestrian will run the risk of being "pinched" walking through Hankelow.

From the Audlem side one of the speed limit signs now shows zero and the queue of stationary vehicles is now rumoured to be reaching back to Corbrook Court.

We wonder how long this state of affairs will exist, or is the wrapping tape bio-degradeable and will eventually over the years degrade away?
