Audlem Public Hall has now become an Associate Member of "Sported" – a Sport for Development charity set up after the 2012 Olympic Games to support community clubs and groups using sport to transform the lives of young people. Details of the work undertaken by Sported can be found on their website here.

Sported will help in the development and sustainability of the Annexe to the Public Hall (APHAx). The planned upper floor of the new building will provide changing rooms and showers for a number of sporting activities (such as football, tennis and cycling) as well as for the artists and performers of the 5As Theatre group. There is also expected to be a community-led gym/fitness room, which will improve fitness and well being across the ages.

Sported will provide assistance in developing sustainable business plans, access to sources of funding and cost savings. They will measure the impact that the Annexe will have once it is up and running and provide assistance to sports organisations using the Annexe.

Apparently, individual clubs within the village can join Sported in their own right to get access to the assistance which is available.
