Great year for Audlem Lass

In the 2013 season running from Easter to the end of October, Audlem Lass carried 1,038
children and 3,504 adults, or a total of 4,542 plus 229 dogs, a record again.

Engine wise, the Parsun 4 hp in the two years has done approximately 3,500 miles with about
3,900 engine starts with the same cord. It has been part exchanged for a new engine this week so its first trip is for Father Christmas this Thursday for the Big Switch On.

After expenses i.e. fuel, servicing, insurances, canal licence and some minor repairs plus RYA certificates deemed desirable, £2063 is available to send to Crewe and Nantwich lifeboat RNLI Branch.

There are now 16 trained coxswains, a healthy number for next year's sailings between Lock 15 and the Overwater marina.
