They say that getting money out of some people is like getting blood out of a stone. I'm sure that we all know someone who fits into that category. So now that it's credit-crunch time, why not give something back to society that doesn't cost you a penny – give blood.

Two blood donor sessions are being held at the Public Hall next Tuesday, 23rd December. These run from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. In February the National Blood Service came to Audlem for the first time and there was a good response from villagers. Let's ensure that there's a good turnout again this time. After all, it saves travelling to Nantwich, Crewe or anywhere else – just turn up and you don't have to pay for parking!

According to the National Blood Service website, stocks of all blood groups – especially O Negative – are running low. So give blood and help.

Further sessions are already planned for March and September next year.
