Gala pulls in welcome funds

The Highfields Gala earlier this month raised a net sum of £3033 which will be further increased by donations made through Gift Aid.

Some sixty five local enterprises were involved, either by advertising or having a stand at the two-day event on 7th and 8th May at Highfields, just two miles south east of Audlem. The Gala was a major fund-raising event for the Audlem Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs and Beavers.

Rod Cottrell, the organiser, offers his warmest thanks to all who came – and apologises for the wind that blew throughout the weekend – and, in particular, thanks the Baker, Maughan and Winstanley families for making the event possible.
