The Village Quire (High Days & Holidays Along the Welsh Border Marches) also starts at 2.00pm in St James Church. An entertainment to transport you back to the 18th and 19th century Welsh borders with West Gallery and shape-note music, folk-song and maybe the odd catch. All sung in the energetic style of the Village Quire.

Home grownAt 2.30pm, The Foxy Wellingtons are playing at the Lord Combermere. One of Audlem's home grown bands, they started out 3 years ago on the Showcase stage and are now playing their own gigs at the Box, Manchester's Printworks and GlastonBury supporting some of the regions top bands.

SopranoMeanwhile at 3.00pm, at the Methodist Church, local Soprano Frances Hughes is singing a selection of classical songs and operatic arias. Accompaniment is by Treona Holden.

Modern Alarms are, exciting, groove driven tunes that have proved immensely popular on a previous visit to Audlem. They're on at 4.00pm at the Lord Combermere.

At 4.30pm drop in to hear Itchy Feet in Audlem St James Church. If jigs and reels are your thing then do not miss Itchy Feet, they'll keep your feet moving.

To ease us into the evening's entertainment, The Douglas Firs are on at the the Lord Combermere at 6.30pm. A five piece band, they are influenced by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young & The Fleet Foxes. Separately they have been playing for many years on various projects but came together in 2010.

What an afternoon of entertainment to suit most tastes!
