First glimpse of new Thornton House bungalows

Long-awaited details have been announced to build 10 new bungalows on the Thornton House site in Audlem.

We have our first glimpse of what the new complex could look like as full planning permission is sought by Crewe-based Wulvern Housing.

Here are some artist impressions of the new 10 unit scheme which is intended to replace the existing bedsits and communal facility at Emberton Place.

Wulvern say the existing bedsits are in much need of updating as they are small, of low quality and have shared bathroom facilities.

The proposed dwellings are a mix of 2-bedroom 3-person bungalows and 1-bedroom 2-person bungalows.

The aim of the new bungalow complex is to "provide a high-quality living environment which is sympathetic to its surroundings and reflects the characteristics of the area."
