The 11th Audlem Festival got underway last night with live music in all three pubs.

Over the next four days, sixty two acts or events will feature in what is one of the great free festivals with a still growing reputation.

There's top quality music in four locations this evening. At 6.30pm, it's ReGroove Nation at the Lord Combermere, a talented funk & soul band. ReGroove Nation feature a full brass section and stunning vocals from lead singer Emily Jollands.

A real highlight, and sure to be very popular, sees Audlem St James School Band play at Audlem St James Church, led by Karen Vaughan. It starts at 7.30pm.

At 9.00pm, The Folkwits play at the Bridge Inn – Dave Nettleton & Kelly Brammer make up this folk influenced and extremely talented duo.

At 9.00pm it's Whiskyhead at the Shroppie Fly, a blues band whose members bring together many years of varied musical experience with a passion for blues music mainly from the 1950's, 60's and 70's distilled and performed in their own way.

At 9.30pm, the second act of the night starts at the Lord Combermere with Jason Johnson performing.

All in all, a great way to warm up for an incredible programme on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday morning. Check out the full details by clicking on the link below the photos.

A reminder also that camping with toilets is available very close to the centre of the village from Friday 27th to Tuesday 31st May for £10.00 each tent for the whole weekend!
