FASA charity quiz night success

On Tuesday the regular weekly quiz night at The Lord Combermere was given over in totality to the very good cause, FASA (Friends of Audlem School Association). This is a body dedicated to raising money to enable funds to be generated and to buy extra aids and equipment for the children. This year's aim is to raise £4500 to buy Laptop computers.

On the night, we had a very full house, with teams crammed in every foot of the place. Hardly a seat left vacant. Great atmosphere as all enjoyed the questioning and the prizes given. We held a small auction of promises and gifts and a raffle. All in all, close to £500 was collected for FASA.

Our thanks to everyone who came to support us and to enjoy the evening – plus the excellent free buffet provided by Jo & Allan – our fine hosts.
