The South Cheshire Embroiderers’ Guild will be holding their 21st Anniversary Exhibition from Thursday 22nd September to Sunday 25th September inclusive, in the Public Hall, Audlem with free parking and disabled access.
The Exhibition will open from 10.00am to 16.00pm each day.
On show will be both contemporary and traditional pieces of work to demonstrate the amazing diversity of our Guild Members achievements. The public will be encouraged to vote for their favourite piece and the winner will receive the fabulous prize of a meal for two, with wine, in the Crystal Restaurant at Nunsmere Park Hotel.
Alongside this work, each individual National Embroiderers’ Guild has been given the challenge of producing “postcard” size pieces of work to depict a country taking part in the 2012 Olympic Games. Our Guild has been given Hong Kong, and our members’ completed postcards will also be on display.
Additional exhibits will include several pieces of A & A/S level work from our talented under 18 year old local students – the best of which will receive a prize donated by TPL of a complete re-style and hair colour.
Workshops and demonstrations will be taking place each day – if anyone would like further details of these and available places please contact Carrie on 01630 647977 or visit our website – simply click on the link below the photo.
ZigZags will be trading on Thursday and Friday.
Silken Strands/Fantasy Fabrics will be trading on Saturday and Sunday.
The entrance fee will be £2.50 to include refreshments, so please do take this opportunity to come along with the family to view, participate and enjoy some of the finest examples of South Cheshire Embroiderers’ Guild work.
