Now that the Summer break is over our members enjoyed meeting up again, last week, for the AGM and to kick-start our upcoming year of another exciting programme of talks, projects and workshops.
Our Branch is now officially '21 Years Old' and it was the perfect opportunity to start our celebrations. We were delighted that our President, and one of the Founding Members, Jackie Woolsey – seen here in the photo – found the time to travel up from Norfolk, once again, to be with us and as soon as the business end of the meeting was swiftly dealt with, we could then begin to party.
One of our committee members, Sue Jones, had generously found the time to make a fabulous cake, which we all enjoyed with a glass, or two, of “bubbly”, followed by an Embroidery related quiz.
There was so much buzz in the atmosphere that the majority of us forgot we had actually attended an AGM! We are now in the process of finalizing the preparations for our '21st Anniversary Exhibition' which takes place later this week.
