Quiz Night

We will have our big Christmas Buffet Night and the Auction etc for the above Hospice for Children in a few weeks.

I thought that I would let you know the lots that I will be offering in the auction.

  • 1. A Long weekend in the magnificent and beautifully furnished Welsh Country House. Sleeps up to 12 . With close access to the beach and set in its own large private grounds, this superb house is a true delight to see. Value well in excess of £800.
  • 2. The Goodwood Revival Weekend. This unique event on 12 -14th September 2014 is a magical step back in time to the glamorous world of motor racing of the fifties and sixties. Whether a petrol head or not, this fabulous event is the worlds foremost theatre of motoring and historic aircraft displays where period fashion is as important as the celebrities and F 1 stars who race multi million pound cars within an inch of their lives on the track while Spitfires and Mustangs re enact dogfights in the sky. Wonderful stuff! On offer are two weekend tickets (worth £600) with full paddock and grandstand access. This event is always sold out before the event.
  • 3. A full Car Valet – inside and out – by Matt Bonell of Premier Auto Detailing. Value £120
  • 4. Dinner for 2 at the Lord Combermere
  • 5. Afternoon Tea for 4 at the White Lion
  • 6. Large Framed print of Historic Racing Cars – the perfect Christmas present to those who love the thrill of British Racing at its finest.
  • 7. Huge Fresh Fruit Basket by Ian & Ann Jones of Hankelow.
  • 8. Superb Bouquet of Fresh Flowers by The Flower Divas of Audlem.

I can and will take bids ahead of the day – please phone me on 07813820157 or e-mail at rjw@notrubraw.com.

Timetable

The event takes place at the Lord Combermere on the 17th December.

  • 8.00pm – full buffet
  • 9.00 – Auction and Quiz part one
  • 9.45 – Auction and Raffle + Quiz part two

Hopefully we will raise a good amount for the Hospice – which was built totally free of all costs by Mr & Mrs Gladman of Gladman Developments.
