Cuckoo heard

Cuckoos have been pretty rare in these parts in recent years. The good news (except for some small birds who will probably have had their nest taken over) is that two reports have now reached Audlem Online that a cuckoo has been heard.

One was heard this morning to the east of Audlem and Hankelow. It wasn't seen – they can be pretty elusive – but the call was clear.
