Local Band Foxy Wellingtons are lying 3rd after the first week's voting in the Triumph Motorcycles National BandBattle competition. Leading the way are Redline, the band behind the ITV's TT soundtrack, King of the Mountain.

The Foxy's next live gig is at the Box on the 30th July, and who knows, if they maintain their position in the competition, they could be supporting Mumford & Sons and the legendary Stranglers at Triumph's Live Event in September.

Given the number of Triumph owners at this year's Audlem Festival of Transport, why not visit www.Triumph-live.co.uk for more information, and while you are there, have a listen to the boys.

Triumph are looking for three amazing, class acts to support their headline acts, The Stranglers and Mumford & Sons at Triumph Live 2010 on September 18th. From Hip-Hop to Alt.Rock, Electro to Emo, Funk to Folk and every musical style in between.

There are a number of local bands – Foxy Wellingtons, Hello Big World, Sgt Wolfbanger, Lost Response, Jack Marshall to name a few – that are doing well in the competition, along with Audlem Festival favourites, The Reads, who would appreciate your support.

Unsigned bands can upload their profile, photos and three best tracks, then sit back and let the public decide. If they make the grade, they'll be invited to perform at a secret gig, from which the best three will be booked to entertain the 10,000 music-loving Triumph fans at their summer party.

The public get to decide which artists makes the cut. Simply visit the act profiles page, listen to the tracks and make your choice but don't forget – you can only vote once.
