It is now confirmed that even though it is going directly to Appeal, the Gladman application (13/ 2224N) for Little Heath will be heard by the Strategic Planning Board of Cheshire East Council at Macclesfield Town Hall on Wednesday 9th October.

The purpose is merely to seek the Board's resolution as to what its decision would have been had it been able to determine the application. This will form part of the Authority's statement of case on the Appeal. The application is first on the Agenda and Cheshire East are recommending Councillors be 'Minded to refuse'.

It will be followed by consideration of the application for the land at Heathfield Road/Mill Lane (13/3210N) which Cheshire East are recommending be Refused. The Agenda and supporting documents can be found
Agenda here

The meeting is open to anyone who wishes to attend; information on the regulations concerning speakers can be found on the Agenda. The only people allowed to speak (for a maximum of three minutes) are those who have been registered to do so.

For the Gladman Developments application at this stage these include: Geoff Seddon, on behalf of the Parish Council; David Latchford, on behalf of the Parish Plan Planning Committee and Cllr Janet Clowes, acting as Audlem's Borough Councillor as Cllr Rachel Bailey has a personal interest in the application.

For the Heathfield Road/Mill Lane application the speakers for Audlem will be: Cllr Rachel Bailey, Audlem's Borough Councillor; Heather Jones on behalf of Audlem Parish Council; Steve Amies, on behalf of the Neighbouhood Residents Association and David Latchford as before.

The Parish Council has also found that there are small differences in the second Gladman application (13/3746N) from their original submission. Councillors are reviewing the changes to see if this may result in any change to the original response.

As the application is slightly different, residents are urged to resubmit their responses under the new application number so there can be no potential for Gladman to raise any challenges.

If you have any queries regarding this please contact Heather Jones or the Clerk. Contact information is on the Parish Council section of Audlem On Line.
