Further to my complaint to Cheshire East regarding the failure of its 'out of hours contact service' at the weekend, they have responded as follows:
'We are very sorry that the residents of the Audlem ward were cut off; it might be a reflection of how busy things were at the weekend.
This issue will be discussed with the team to see how they found the storm period and whether arrangements/staffing need any modifications for future events'.
It is welcome that Cheshire East has apologised to 'Audlem', but I continue to question capacity of its systems and seek a contingency plan in a bid to protect against a repeat circumstance in the future.
