Cheshire East blow to ADAS funding

Our plans for the Summer Floral Dispays presented each year for the enjoyment of all who live here and all who visit the village – spending their very welcome cash in our shops and our pubs – have been hit hard.

Cheshire East Council has decided to slash the grant given to us as part of The Britain in Bloom scheme. To Zero. A total loss of £1350.

This will seriously impact on the work we in ADAS undertake all through the year but the plans we set in motion last September for this year's blooms will be kept to – with new varieties of the popular Million Bells Begonias featuring in the centre of the village.

This loss of funds makes our annual drive for funds through our Envelope Appeal even more vital and I ask that those who have yet to determine whether to aid us in this way – please do so as soon as you are able.

We so welcome each and every contribution. A true lifeline for us in our work.
