Just when you thought it was all over, in comes a request from the authors of
the books about local WW1 and WW2 casualties (Dear Mrs Jones...) and 'the
Crewe and Nantwich roll of honour'....for local photos taken during either
WW1 1914-18 or WW2 1939-45.
They can be of social events, weddings, school groups, VE celebrations, bomb
damage, people in reserved occupations, people who served etc etc. If you have a spare copy, it could be sent to Mark Potts at 2 Barons Road, Shavington, Crewe CW2 5EH, Tel. 560015. If you would like it to be photographed in your home, Celia Bloor, Secretary of the Audlem History Society would
visit and then pass a copy onto Mark. Celia's telephone is 811260.
It is important that we do our best to pass on images from these times to a
wider audience so that they are not lost.
