A particularly interesting comment has just been sent to the Audlem Online Chatbox. As not every news reader is, as yet, addicted to the Chatbox, we thought it was worth publishing in the news section too.

This is what ChrisJ said: "Yesterday evening, I was out on a cycle ride near Coole Pilot Lane and was attacked by a buzzard. It has made a dent in the top of my cycle helmet and felt like a branch falling on my head – quite frightening.

"Do they do this often? I was lucky I was wearing a helmet as I think I could have been quite badly hurt."

Has anybody else experienced a buzzard attack like this. Buzzards were, of course, virtually unknown in the Audlem area until a decade or so ago. They are now here in good numbers and can be seen, and heard, overhead most days.

The photo, by the way, is not of the offending buzzard that made the attack in question – but, then again, it could be!
