Police have traced a vehicle which may have been involved in a collision with a 19-year-old found dead at the roadside near Audlem.
Arnold Higgins, of Market Drayton, was found on the verge beside the A529 at around 8.30am last Friday. It's thought he was struck by a passing vehicle while walking home from work the previous night.
West Mercia Police officers investigating the incident have now traced a 52-seater coach which may have been involved in the accident.
A police spokesperson said: "Forensic tests are continuing to establish whether the coach may have been in collision with Mr Higgins. The coach company is assisting our inquiries."
Mr Higgins, who worked at a farm near Adderley, set off to walk home to Market Drayton along the A529 at about 4.45pm the previous night.
A post mortem revealed he had head injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. An inquest will be opened in due course.
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses. Anyone with information which might assist the investigation, is urged to contact Market Drayton or Shrewsbury police stations on 101.
Earlier this week, Mr Higgins' family paid a loving tribute, describing him as a "top lad" who would never be forgotten.
