As we reported some days ago, the Broomhall and Sound Methodist Church, have now completed the building of a new Annexe consisting of two large rooms, new vestry, new kitchen, utility room, storage room and two new toilets.

Celebrations took place throughout last weekend with a flower festival, official opening ceremony on Saturday and Harvest Festival on Sunday.

The new Annexe was officially opened by Dr. Jill Barber, Methodist Conference Vice President with Rev'd Peter Barber, Chair of the District, and Rev'd Malcolm Lorimer,Circuit Superintendent, together with ,WREN project representative, Local Councillor Rachel Bailey, and local MP Antoinette Sandbach.

The highlight of the ceremony was Children from Sound School inserting a Time Capsule into the wall which was quickly bricked up whilst the opening took place and the new sign fitted. See photos below and click to enlarge.
