Brine Leas High School, attended by most Audlem secondary school pupils, is celebrating a trio of milestones in its history. The school has just undergone a successful Ofsted inspection whilst governors have also voted unanimously to move to Foundation Status from September. The school has, in addition, been awarded Languages Status to add to its existing role as a specialist College of Technology.

Headteacher Mike Butler said: " All this provides the perfect launch-pad for the school to continue its success and develop its curriculum and performance over the next few years. The Ofsted report makes it clear that we know how to deliver this success and the change in our status and the development of the Languages College will provide the focus and resources to take this forward."

The Ofsted report talks about the school as being a place 'where students enjoy their education, achieve well and develop into well-rounded and caring individuals.' The inspectors picked out the house system with its wide range of opportunities and care for students as being outstanding.
