So what is this all the about, "Black Smoke over Audlem", Frank Morris asked as he walked his dog today?
As the photo shows, there was indeed black smoke over Audlem this morning, not long after it was reported on the BBC news that no decision had been made about a new Pope in Rome.
Frank adds: "Could Audlem have formed its own conclave to elect the new Pontiff? Perhaps not, as the smoke is from an agricultural contractors' shed, their very own Sistine Chapel. I doubt, though, they are counting votes, more like stoking the fire up to make some tea to keep out the unseasonal cold weather at this time of year.
"And the only noises outside where not from the crowds from St Peters Square, but from the diesel engines of the tractors going about their business."
"Anyway, it's a tadge early for the 1st April AudlemOnline tomfoolery. Even the Cardinals can't hold on that long to decide who will be the next Pontiff."
