Black cat in collision

A local resident writes: "I am sorry to be the bearer of possibly sad news for this person from Monks Lane, but I was walking my dogs up Kettle Lane and a black cat with a blue collar was on the grass verge. It had probably been hit by a car and someone had moved it off the road."

The reference to Monks Lane follows an earlier story about a missing black cat that hunts regularly in that area. That black cat called Josh has, however, returned home safely after being away for some days.

We are told that Josh devoured four packs of food in one sitting on his return.

That, of course, is no consolation to the owners of this latest casualty in Kettle Lane. Thank you, Lis, for letting Audlem Online know.
