Beware strangers with clipboards

Apparently there has been a chap seen around the village with some official looking paperwork, asking some quite detailed questions about the personal circumstances of an elderly lady, under the cover of "interviewing" her.

The advice, especially to our older residents, is not to engage in discussion with strangers asking unsolicited questions unless you are absolutely sure of their bona fides.

If in any doubt, walk away, or ask another passing Audlem resident (preferably a large, younger, one) to have a word with them. If they are genuine they will readily provide satisfactory identification – if not then they will be the ones who will quickly vanish.
