Ball's up again at St James' church

Work has been going on at a cracking pace on rebuilding the steps up to the church in the past week.

But it's not just the steps that have been receiving attention. Many will have noticed a missing ball on the right hand pedestal.

The good news is that the ball is up again! Dylan Jones has been carrying out the work on the stone steps – and it's already attracted admiring comments – and we are grateful for his sending us the photo.

And that's despite the fact he knew the inevitable headline it would attract. Sometimes temptation cannot be resisted!
