Two of the Audlem Parish Plan steering committee, Mike Hill and Bob Cartwright, have been asked to make a presentation next Monday to Knutsford Town Council describing the way the village set about preparing its Plan. A further invitation has been received for a Cheshire County meeting in September where an Audlem representative will present at a conference on sharing best practice. As well as talking about how the Parish Plan document was produced, Mike and Bob will be concentrating on the activity still underway to achieve the ideas laid out in the Plan. Failing to follow this through, they will say, will mean the Plan has failed as it is results that matter. An attractive document is of little use on its own.

The Parish Plan Steering Committee meets next Wednesday to assess progress on the Parish Plan projects. There will then be an update for Audlem residents at the Village Meeting in the Public Hall on 11th May. The Community Projects working group, which is progressing major projects such as improved sports facilities, also met this week and is currently making applications for funding to a number of public organisations.
