Never doubt Audlem's status as a music venue. Just click on the poster.
Last night, Manchester's Rainband played the Lord Combermere, part of a British and European tour that started in their home city and has taken in the likes of Glasgow, Leeds and Britain's up-coming City of Culture, Hull.
Next week, the band is off to Lyon and Cannes in France; then Milan, Rimini, Naples and Rome before visiting Dublin, Leeds, Liverpool and finishing back in Manchester.
We wonder if music fans in Milan and Rome will be scratching their heads and asking "Audlem? Where? Has it an airport?" – in Italian , of course.
Needless to say, the Lord C was packed and raised the roof as the Rainband said they were back in Audlem as this was their favourite venue on their last tour.
