Audlem WI July Report

Audlem WI held their monthly meeting Thursday 6th July. The President welcomed everyone including three visitors. Apologies were read out and the previous minutes read and signed by the President.

The speaker for the afternoon was Hannah Graham from the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CRAFT) near Lymm. Hannah gave a really interesting, entertaining and thought provoking presentation of their work. She explained that the Charity works to provide children, young people and their families support to get out in the fresh air and enjoy some leisure time. Ann Huntbach thanked Hannah for her most interesting talk.

Susan Kaufman (07974 065550) has arranged a garden visit for Thursday 17th August to The Firs, Barbridge, cost £8 including refreshments. Pay at the gate. Please do not just turn up!

Sheila Jones (01270 811643) is organising the Afternoon Tea at Overwater Marina on 3rd August. No formal meeting in August.

Group Meeting 19th September at Nantwich Football Club, the speaker is Lesley Smith, Curator at Tutbury Castle – she will be talking about Nell Gwynne. Tickets available from Jean Cook (01270 780275).

Next meeting will be 7th September 2pm at Audlem Methodist Church, speaker Kerry Vacara, subject ‘Talking without a Voice’.
