Audlem Senior Section is a group for girls aged 14-25, and is the follow on from Audlem Guides, however you do not need to have been involved in Guiding before to join in.

It was set up just under two years ago, and since then they have done a wide array of activities, including picnics, ice skating, crafts, trips and lots more.

They meet once a week, on a Tuesday evening from 7-8.30pm (term times), and are based in the Scout and Guide hall, although quite a few meetings are spent out and about. It is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends, work towards awards and when applying for jobs and university, involvement with Guiding always helps.

More importantly though, it is great fun, and with us being in the Centenary year for Guiding, means there are many trips and experiences available, both in this country and internationally, which will be available. For example, as long as the country is safe, this summer I shall be going to Honduras for a month with Guiding to undergo a develoment programme.

If you are interested in either joining, coming along to see what it is all about or just want to know more, please contact Jane Dale on 01270 811912.
