Apologies for the lack of a report last week. We played in our first Blue league match and despite playing very well were defeated 4-2.

This Sunday we faced CB Lions. We struggled with half term and missed a few key players as they were enjoying a mid-season break.

The entire game was played at speed with fantastic passing of the ball from the entire team. Goals seemed to come from moves started well in our own half and Audlem soon broke down a solid defence offered by the Lions.

There were moments of brilliance from players individually but team brilliance was awesome as they strung attack after attack together and passed the ball from keeper through defence, midfield, one side of the pitch to another before some excellent finishing.

It was certainly not one way traffic and Raif Seriff our goal keeper made some fantastic saves and, due to his ability to spot the gaps, was able to play the ball out quickly to keep the game moving. This was an outstanding performance from him.

We went on to win the game 6-2 against a team that had lost only one game previously all season. Comments from the crowd included 'it was like watching Brazil'.

We play them again this Sunday in our away fixture.

For the First time we also had an under 9 team playing a friendly against Crewe Cobras in anticipation of their full launch into the league in January 2011. Crewe Cobras won the mini league last year and have played in the under 10's for tougher opposition. Our Under 9 team played together for the first time. With a fantastic attitude, Audlem under 9's went onto win 2-1.

We now have 2 teams in the junior league and Audlem is back being talked about in football circles once again.

Well done to everybody who plays and is making this happen for our children.
