Audlem Mill canal and needlework shop reopens today, Saturday 27th February, after a short winter break, and there's lots happening in the first few days.

There are several courses, all fully booked, including pen and wash painting with Audlem artist Sheila Webster, Canal Belts with Mary Parry, a local expert in canal costume, and Crochet with Sarah Chanin, who has written booklets on boat cabin crochet.

Courses then continue most weekends until April, and details of subjects are on the website – www.audlemmill.co.uk

A little later, the annual Waterways Art Exhibition opens on 21st March, for four weeks. It will feature superb original watercolour, oil and acrylic paintings by a variety of artists from across the country, many of them members of the Guild of Waterway Artists. There will be several local scenes.

Come to Audlem Mill for a wide range of giftware for all the family, canal ware and books (also some railway books), and the best selection of needlework and wools in the area.
