Audlem Lass will be operating from 10.00am to 6.00pm over the Festival weekend.

The service will run as normal from Lock 15 at the bottom of the Audlem Locks to the Overwater Marina. It will be the usual donation fares to the lifeboat charity, the RNLI.

Since the service started at weekends on Good Friday, well over a thousand passenger trips have been taken and approaching a £1,000 has been donated to the lifeboats. The donations from Audlem are going towards a new vessel at New Brighton on one of Britain's busiest shipping lanes.

In addition to the weekend trips, the team of volunteer coxswains have been providing cruises around the marina for the parties of schoolchildren visiting Monks Hall Farm and Overwater Marina as part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

So, during the Festival, it might make a pleasant break from the music and art to take a boat trip up to the Overwater Marina and perhaps refreshment at the marina's Coffee Lounge. Also, it's a convenient way for moorers at Overwater to enjoy the Audlem Festival.

From the following weekend, the Audlem Lass will return to its normal Saturday and Sunday service from 11.00am to 5.-30pm until further notice.
