Audlem Ladies FC would like to thank everyone who turned out for the charity quiz at the Lord Combermere.
So far we have raised just over £800 by selling raffle tickets, an auction and setting up the JustGiving page.
The Big Match is this Sunday at 11.00am on the playing fields. We will have buckets on the day for people to donate.
Without the hard work of Barry, Kev and Al we wouldn't be doing this match, so many thanks to them.
Update from Ralph Warburton: the sum raised is now nearer £900. He says:
The big Quiz night that the Audlem Ladies F C held at the Lord Combermere on Tuesday night was a roaring success. Close on £900 was raised for their chosen good cause, The North Western Air Ambulance service, with a wide array of raffle prizes delighting those who came in support of the night. An auction, raffle and bucket collection was well supported.
A big thank you to the girls who organised it all and were there along with a few of the men's team.
Last night a friendly of Audlem FC versus Nantwich Young Framers at Wrenbury was being watched by the ladies team to spot their weaknesses and be ready to exploit them when the BIG game kicks off this Sunday.
Kick off is 11.00am. The world of soccer as we know it could well be changed forever – with many agents holding their breath.
Do come and give voice to this historic occasion and cheer the players on.
