Awake to the dark of the winter morn. As we race inevitably to the shortest day of the year, a very still morning. Owls were hooting here in the night . A timeless call to each other.
The moon now past it's magnificent fullness but still casting a silvery glow to the naked trees.
Have you ever marvelled at the pictures we have from space of our earth, gloriously showing us all continents on our planet. And have you ever remarked as to how accurate cartographers of the past were able to quite realistically present to the world their skill in mapping . Using the simple tools they had then.
Gerardus Mercator produced the famous map of earth in 1569! The Mercator map. And how realistic it is! Fantastically so close to real outlines of countries and continents. Quite mind blowing in many ways .

And now perhaps to have another mind blowing day as we face the Bridge Inn F C at the South Cheshire College in Crewe . They beat us 2-1 last time we met .

So. Sauna over. Warm glow in the house as my heating back on after a good few days. Car loaded up with water bottles (our refillable ones have done a walk about). Kit. Balls , medical bag and off I drive at 0915 via the COOP for those delicious croissants .

Good Turn out of players but main man Kev Mort missing as he is on Panto duty .

No Regular goal keeper as Connor Baxter is away .

Kick off on time

1-0

In ten minutes we are ahead

2-0

11:25 We score again

3-0

Cannot believe it but Lewis Williams nets from a distance

Half time And we are walking in the air
Off we go fir the second half

3-1

The Bridge score 8 minutes in

4-1

But a fast response as we race upfield. Andrew (Beco) Betteley meets a fine cross from Will Cork

Wham................................................

Then I wake up!!!!

The match was cancelled due to waterlogged pitch!
Hey Ho , one can dream. And I did
Next game maybe us away on the 22nd
