A great Bank Holiday weekend at Audlem. First the really enjoyable Music Festival followed on Sunday by the village Fete described by Judy Evans in her Chatbox item as follows:
"What a fantastic show of community activity on the Turnpike Field yesterday – very well done to all the hardworking organisers – you totally smashed village fetes yesterday ! "
A myriad of stalls – from books to moths to model aeroplanes and railways. A coconut shy and fire engine. Our own Mr John Baker running the auction and, of course, the Pimms and Prosecco stall was so popular it ran dry!
The star event was the dog show – with a large entry – and very well behaved dogs ( not sure about the owners) attracting a large crowd.
The weather was perfect – dry and a comfortable temperature.
Congratulations to the organisers and we hope it achieves it's aim of raising funds for ADAS
