Audlem FC's cup match

This Sunday, Audlem FC played away against Bank Corner of Alsager in the Divisional Cup.

I am afraid I was away in London celebrating the 18th birthday of my Granddaughter, Honesty-Wrae, and as such cannot give you a march report.

Suffice to say, we lost 2-1. I am advised we were down by a goal in the first 5 minutes.

Our manager had 16 players to select from this week – a marked improvement on last week, and Geoff tried to ensure the more committed players took to the field.

Gaz Jones scored our goal with a header and with just 5 minutes to go, making the score at the end the 2-1 I mentioned. A good effort by the team and fine commitment. Peter Jones played very well in defence.

Our next game is here at home versus Crewe Town F C.
