Audlem FC Update

We, the three blokes on the management team -- we are a team of four with the Indomitable Rachel as the fourth -- met recently to discuss our future at length . New kit. End of season trophy time.Planning a slap up meal and great evening at Willaston Club.

Of the plans for our 10th anniversary as a re-born Football club .

At that meeting I learned much more about my two chief execs. Kev Rodgers was, as a teenager, living in Gemmell Close and would run down and across the canal to see the old Audlem Team playing in the '90's . He eventually joined that team and played with them for a while until he and his family moved house .

Kev Mort came to Buerton in 1995 and he too joined the old team . Became their top scorer . And Voted top player !!

Now, their joint skill is driving our team well, with having signed on a fine blend of players, who work together so wonderfully. And together is the word and the strength we have .

Now all that is to be tested as we start the countdown proper to the end of the season, full of hope and drive to do the best we can .

Tie all this talent with the superb Rachel Anderson, partner of Kev R , Who keeps all flowing beautifully . Handling all matters financial as she brings up 5 children . What a woman !! And keeps our kit pristine .

We are truly a team in all ways

Game Sunday was versus Ruskin Park FC . We were to play at the Barony in Nantwich , as our own pitch was trashed when we played Sandbach Town last Sunday .

Load my trusty VW with nets, flag poles, balls, medical bags, water bottles and drive off after viewing the BBC match of the day, with Liverpool winning and winning well -- plus the bonus as Spurs beat City in their own back yard.

To the COOP for fresh baked croissants and off I drive . Get there at about 0945. Unload stuff . Then -- game called off as pitch is sodden .

So re- load and drive home .

Hey Ho, we do hope Sunday 27th will be ok. We are due to face Cooper Buckley . The team who can topple us off the top spot . Big game indeed.

So. No game. Man Utd versus Leeds a sop for me .
